Women of Note: An Invitation

Saturday, March 1, the Quinte Symphony presents an afternoon of music by 19th and 20th century music by women composers: Emilie Mayer, Amy Beach, Florence Price and Fanny Mendelssohn. QSCM invites you to other QSCM volunteers in celebrating International Women’s Day with the Quinte Symphony.

The program is exhilerating to contemplate. The music by these composers is at once new and different, yet, much of it familiar for being in the language of that to which we are accustomed fromt he more well known repertoire of of 19th and 20th century.

I encourage everyone to take this opportunity to come out to listen, and applaud, with me, the Qunite Symphony for presenting the work of these brilliant, but under-represented composers.
